Ross McBride
Founder & President
Mr. McBride is the Founder and President Management Performance Centre. Eighteen years ago, Mr. McBride started The Blackrock Group, which grew from one employee (Mr. McBride) to 650 full time staff before he sold the majority of his interest in it three years ago. Mr. McBride’s seminars are based on real world knowledge, experience and skills he acquired and used to build the Blackrock Group. He has been Chapter Chairman of the Young Presidents Organization-Ontario Chapter, is a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers (CAPS) & the National Speakers Association. Mr McBride is also listed in “Who’s Who in Canadian Business”.
Mr. McBride has also dealt cross culturally by delivering seminars in countries as diverse as Canada, The United Kingdom, The United States, Hong Kong, The Philippines, Australia, Malaysia and The United Arab Emirates.
A dynamic businessman and creative thinker, Mr. McBride’s seminars style has been described as energetic, entertaining and real world oriented with highly usable eye opening content. Susan MacKenzie
Susan MacKenzie has provided customized training solutions and performance consulting for the past ten years. Her 20 plus years of work experience both in Canada and internationally, at a variety of levels from front line to senior management provides a wealth of real world examples and scenarios for participants.
Susan specializes in Communication Skills. Her passion is to work with leaders and teams to establish a culture of effective communication in their workplace. She gives practical tools and strategies to communicate up, down and across the organization and achieve measurable results. Managers can use these roadmaps to effectively coach performance, careers and crises within their teams.
Susan has worked with a broad variety of organizations over the past ten years. Her clients have included Fortune 500 companies as well as government and not-for-profit organizations. This has also included some of Toronto’s largest law firms, Service Inspired Restaurants (SIR Corp), George Brown and Centennial Colleges; GO Transit, Sunlife Financial, PCL Construction, Fairmont and Novotel Hotels.
She is a lead trainer with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) on their Safer Bars initiative. She has facilitated workshops with over 70 bars and local Public Health departments.
Susan is a graduate of Ryerson Polytechnic University in Hospitality and Tourism Management. She holds a certificate in Adult Education from St. Francis Xavier University. Susan has also earned her national certification as a Tourism Trainer with The Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council.
Robert Rochon
Robert Rochon is a Training and Development Consultant. His expertise assists clients in creating training and development solutions to meet their needs, as well as the needs of their employees.
Robert has extensive experience in a variety of roles at Loblaw Companies Ltd. He has been Manager of Training and Development (1988-1993), Director of Employment Practices (1993-1999), and most recently Director of Human Resources Development (1999-2001).
Robert has had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients including the Energy Savings Group, Sobeys, Loblaw Companies Ltd., the Toronto Star, the Canadian Automobile Association, and the No Frills Franchisee Dealers Association. In the past, companies including Cineplex Odeon, Prudential Insurance, Scott’s Hospitality Inc., and Longo Brothers Supermarkets have used his services to develop programs that deliver high impact and client satisfaction.
Robert’s main area of expertise centres on the delivery of effective training and development solutions. Design and delivery of programs include Behavioural Interviewing, Coaching, Conflict Management, Negotiating Skills, Performance Management, Leadership, Diversity, Harassment and Violence Prevention.
Robert is an excellent facilitator, who has assisted many clients in developing effective action plans to further business goals.
Robert currently volunteers with the Canadian Safe School Network and Eva’s Initiatives Youth Services, and is a past member of the Board of the White Ribbon Campaign, the Centre for Studies of Children at Risk and the Dr. Wilson Head Institute.
